Also the water pressure and hot water made for a challenging shower. The location is great, but a little noisy. We had to knock on the neighbors door at 11pm to ask for quiet. They complied immediately. The Kind Cafe was great. Take a step back in time to Victorian era with a stay here. Huge room with large 4 post bed. Easy check in with lock box. Skeleton key to room is charming. Things to note. Had a small tv. Would have like to seen a larger tv. Overall nice stay right on main street.
Street noise not bad during our stay. Room was extremely clean and tastefully decorated. Olio essenziale anticellulite lola shower at best.
If you are a large or tall person, you will have to sit kitty corner on the toilet to fit. Details such as tissues, cups to drink from were missing. One light bulb was out. No heat was on, although it was unseasonable cold, but it took several hours for the place to warm up. There aren't many other places to stay near Susquehanna University Had an amazing time here!! John was so accommodating and made us feel very welcome.
Room was clean and very comfortable! Very clean and inviting space! John made us feel very welcome, greeting us on the step as we came in. The suite was very accommodating and immaculate. Great experience! If you are thinking about booking here DO IT! You will not be disappointed! John is an amazing host. The breakfast that is served has everything you could possibly want to eat. The shop on the first floor has so much to see too!
We couldn't have been happier at the Samuel Aurand Suite. John is a great host. We loved the suite. Location was very convenient.
All was so smooth and easy! Looking forward to staying again soon. John and the Suite are both fantastic! He was extremely communicative leading up to our trip to make sure all our questions were answered in advance and could not have been more accommodating around our schedule.
The suite is terrific and there was plenty of room for a group of us tired from driving all day. John was a great host and we had a great time having breakfast with him in the morning before hitting the road again. I highly recommend John and the Samuel Aurand Suite for anyone traveling through the area!
John was fantastic. He met us at the door and gave us a tour of this beautiful home. It is a wonderful historic home. Our suite was very large, clean and nicely appointed.
John had a lot of information and history on the area. We will definitely be back and recommend to our friends. Bobbi is a wonderful host and it was great getting to know her!
Her breakfasts were a delicious, wonderful way to start our day. The location to Susquehanna University and downtown Selinsgrove is perfect. The room was larger than we expected and was equipped with a great shower and in-room sink.
She does note road noise in the listing and that is true. Everything was perfect. The house, the room, the decor, the scent of the front hall, the soft fluffy towels, the new firm mattress Bobbie's place can't be beat ALL fronts - rooms, location, location, communication, cleanliness, hospitality and the list keeps on going.
Thanks for a wonderful stay! Quiet neighborhood, lots of parking. Close driving proximity to some neat dining establishments. John was great! He responded quickly upon my first inquiry and all communications after. John takes pride in his home and his bnb. Everything was carefully attended to and nothing was needed.
Wonderful host and home. John was always accessible before our stay to answer questions and during our stay We had a nice stay at the inn while visiting our son at Bucknell. Comfortable and quiet. Only 15 minutes from Bucknell. Communication with John was prompt and pleasant. Would definitely stay again!
This lovely inn is a wonderful gem, perfect in every way. The host, John could not be more charming and welcoming. This was our second visit, we can't wait to go back.
I stayed at the Inn the night before the Unpaved Pa race in Lewisburg in John was a great host allowing me to check in late and check out early. The inn is very comfortable and I had a very pleasant stay. A cozy inn situated in a small, rustic town in central PA. Nice option for those visiting Penn State or Bucknell who still seek peace and quiet. Gunther is an awesome dog as well! A great place to stay in a small rural setting, very quiet, and honey! We were made to feel so very welcome!
